This album is a long time coming, not because the songs are old but because Daniel and I spent too many years not making records together. Twenty five years since we began recording our first album, and more than ten years since the last one, it feels fantastic to play music with my brother again. Adding our dad in as our own ersatz "Garth Hudson" makes all these songs click in way they wouldn't have otherwise.

I don't know if I'm a folk singer or not, but I like to think that we're a folk band at least. I hope you like our brand of American Acoustic Music, presented here raw and unfiltered, live from our living room.

We're in a band with our dad. The Harper Valley Hypocrites are Mason, Daniel, & Tim Weaver. Mason and Daniel spent 15 years as the Moon Mission Death Squad before becoming quietly irrelevant in 2012. Picking up our old alt-country side project in 2018 and playing some covers with our dad and his friends fired us up about writing and playing shows again.
